Communities across the Upper Midwest are mobilizing for recovery following a series of severe storms and tornadoes over the weekend. The storms affected states including Iowa, Illinois, Missouri, Wisconsin, and Minnesota, causing extensive damage to homes, knocking out power, and disrupting daily life. Despite the widespread destruction, officials have confirmed that there have been no fatalities or serious injuries reported so far.

In Minnesota, approximately 30 homes in Marion Township sustained damage from a tornado, with a dozen experiencing significant destruction. Nearby, Stewartville also saw at least 20 homes damaged, prompting temporary shelters in Rochester. Illinois declared a disaster emergency in McLean County after severe storms, but no injuries were reported, and emergency crews remain active. In Lena, an EF-2 tornado inflicted considerable damage, uprooting trees and damaging numerous homes while blocking roads. Wisconsin experienced its worst day since 1995, with 26 tornado warnings issued and entire residential areas destroyed, including 75 homes in Ringle. Restoration efforts are ongoing, with Red Cross volunteers assisting affected residents.
